🔧 POCO M6 – Fix Bootloop, Invalid IMEI, No Network, or Restore Stock Firmware

If your POCO M6 is:

  • Stuck in a bootloop
  • Showing “Invalid IMEI”, no SIM/network
  • Crashing or soft-bricked after rooting/modding
  • On a buggy custom ROM or outdated system

You can fix it by flashing the official Fastboot ROM and (if needed) restoring IMEI via MediaTek tools.

📱 What Is Stock Firmware?

Stock firmware (Fastboot ROM) is the official Xiaomi system image. Flashing it:

  • Fixes boot or soft-brick issues
  • Restores corrupted/missing system files
  • Removes root, Magisk, TWRP, or custom ROMs
  • Repairs lost or invalid IMEI and network issues
  • Improves stability and performance

🚨 When to Flash POCO M6

You should flash your phone if:

  • Stuck on MIUI/POCO logo or in bootloop
  • IMEI is null or invalid, no network/signal
  • System is unstable, crashes constantly
  • Want to unroot or revert to stock from custom ROM
  • To downgrade firmware
  • You formatted the device via SP Flash Tool and wiped NVRAM

✅ What You Need

  • ✅ Official Fastboot ROM (.tgz) for POCO M6 (variant-specific)
  • ✅ Latest Mi Flash Tool
  • MediaTek USB VCOM Drivers
  • ✅ Windows PC + USB-C cable
  • ✅ Unlocked bootloader
  • ✅ Backup of important data + IMEI/NVRAM if possible

🔧 Flashing Firmware – Step-by-Step

Step 1: Download Firmware

  • Look for POCO M6 (codename: sky or gold, depending on 4G/5G)
  • Download the official Fastboot ROM (.tgz)
  • Extract it – it must include an images folder

Step 2: Install Tools

  • Install MediaTek USB Drivers
  • Install and open the latest Mi Flash Tool

Step 3: Enter Fastboot Mode

  • Power off the phone
  • Hold Volume Down + Power to enter Fastboot screen
  • Connect it to the PC via USB

Step 4: Flash the ROM

  • Open Mi Flash Tool
  • Click “Select” and choose the extracted ROM folder
  • Set flashing mode to “clean all”
  • Click “Flash”
  • Wait 5–10 minutes → It should show “Success”
  • Phone will automatically reboot into system

📶 IMEI Repair (MediaTek)

⚠️ Only legal if restoring your original IMEI printed on the SIM tray or box.

If your IMEI is missing or invalid after flashing or formatting, you must restore it using Maui META or Modem META Tool.

🛠 IMEI Restore with Maui META / Modem META

Required:

  • ✅ Maui META or Modem META Tool
  • ✅ IMEI(s) from phone’s SIM tray
  • ✅ Database file (APDB/MDDB) from the firmware folder

Steps:

  1. Turn off phone
  2. Connect to PC (do not enter Fastboot mode)
  3. Open Maui META, choose “IMEI Download” mode
  4. Wait for device detection (META mode boots automatically)
  5. Load DB files (from ROM: usually APDB_*.db and BPLGUInfo)
  6. Enter IMEI 1 and 2 → Click “Write”
  7. Reboot and check IMEI using *#06#
